Kaapse Plaas

So after a stylish Skyy Vodka Pool party event at the Cape Milner Hotel on a hot summers day yesterday, Nicole shared a piece of paradise with me which she uncovered on an unforgettable “adventure” just 2min away from the busy CBD. A tiny farm on the slopes of Tamboerskloof. Yes a freaking farm.
Anybody that knows me well, knows I’m a complete Elmyra (from Tiny Toon Adventures). So you can imagine the excitement running through my bones when I saw pigs, geese, dogs and chickens crossing the road, blocking us from driving pass.
Despite being 2min drive away from the CBD there was complete utter silence, as though we were miles away from civilization, with the sudden outburst of oinks, woofs and quacks. I LOVED IT!
So up the hills we ventured with Nic as my tour guide, we came across old storage buildings where ammunition were once stored many years ago (my tour guide kinda sucked on the finer details). Further along she showed me a tower overlooking the CBD and shoreline which was said to be a lookout point which now looked more like home to someone less fortunate once upon a time. He or she could have really pimped it out with that view.

Eager Elmyra wanted to meet the animals. Hope the pics can tell what the rest of the visit was like, while Nic stood 10m away taking pics.

PS. Will be visiting you soon my new friends, with snacks this time.
